I was afraid the game would be canceled because there were thunderstorms all night and also a little rain in the morning. The location changed to McDowell Mountain Ranch Park. They planted the new grass there, and the fields looked really good!

I played for the white team, and we did not have a proper goalie. Also, our defense was half-sleeping, so that was the reason why we got four goals early in the game. Losing 4:0 was not a good start, but we had two goals before the half. I scored the second one after the nice combination, but I also had a big chance for our third goal.
During halftime, I told the guys I did not want to lose this game, so we should play hard. It looked promising at the beginning when I passed on goal, and it was 4:3. Also, I could tie the game after dribbling half of the field, but then I hit the post into the empty net. Ultimately, Chris scored his lucky goal between four legs, which meant no victory for us today.
At the end of the match, I had hardly 8 km, while in previous weeks in Mountain View Park, I had easily 10km or more. This field was bigger, but the goals were closer; maybe that's the reason. Either way, I had to run one lap around the fields, combining sprints and slow runs, to get at least 8 km today.
