Sunday morning pickup game (5:7)

MMR was occupied again, so we headed straight to Reata. Scott organized this football game but did not come. I'm not sure why.

This time, we played on small goals, and things started well for our white team. We scored three goals: I assisted on the second and scored the third. But believe it or not, we ended the first half trailing 3:4.

In the second half, a few players left, which opened up more space on the field. That was good for me. I scored another goal, but when we played for the winning goal, we conceded, putting an end to our defensive struggles.

Another game with Brian

Brian and his group were playing again on a nearby field. The previous week, on 2024-12-29, they did not have enough players, so they asked if I wanted to join. This time, they had plenty, but I still asked. They put me on the bench:) After about 20 minutes, I went in.

Note

They played on big goals and 11 on 11, which made me eager to play. I patiently waited for my chance and was eventually put in as a forward. However, with the center of the field wide open, I ended up occupying that space for most of the game.

Just like last week, I did not score. But I hit the post twice! The first time, I ran down the left side and shot from an angle, hitting the near post. I should have aimed for the far one.

Shortly before the end, I took a shot from about 25 meters that went straight toward the top-right corner but hit the crossbar and bounced back. It was a fantastic shot that left everyone astonished!
