My second football session at Drew’s place.

Last week was my first time playing there, and this Wednesday, I came back. However, the atmosphere was a bit different. None of the D-1 players were there, and instead, a bunch of younger guys I did not know had joined. They brought random friends along, and Drew, being nice, let them stay instead of kicking them out. As a result, we ended up playing 8-on-8, which made the field feel a bit crowded.

Drew made it clear that next week, only those on the list will be allowed to play! :)

Drew wanted to balance the teams, so I was assigned to the green team. I did not know anyone there.

Our start was terrible: two defensive mistakes cost us the first two games, and we spent more time off the field than playing.

By the third game, we were losing 1:0 again, but I managed to equalize at 1:1, keeping us on the field. From that point, things improved. I assisted on our second goal, scored the third, and we finally started winning. We had a streak of three or four wins, which was nice, though not as dominant as last week (2025-01-22).

Overall, all the games were tough to watch. The ball kept bouncing back and forth. There were too many long balls, few accurate passes, unnecessary dribbling, and some baffling attempts at moves and shots. Still, it was a good training session. It is always beneficial to play with crazy youngsters, haha
