Wednesday evening pickup game (2:2)

Back at Mountain View Park. The last time I played here was on 2025-02-16

My protocols are working, and I feel better with all my injuries (knees, Achilles, groin). Also, it is one month until the football season starts, so I decided it is the right time to start playing again after a long break.

I ran 10.5km. Much more than I planned. Garmin gave me PRODUCTIVE status, but also 84 hours of recovery :)

We played small goals on the big field. There were about 13-14 players on each side. It was a typical mess of a skirmish game, but I like it:)

Our first goal came from Zach after a very good pass. We had plenty of chances, but we managed to get two goals, so we were losing 1:2. That score held for most of the game. Yes, I scored a tying goal, but it was disallowed because the ball came to me off the big goal post.

Charlie and Nico were there too. I prepared a 100% chance for Charlie, but the goalie just deflected it. Nico played really well. He is a true winger at this point. Most of our actions went through him, since he was usually open on the right side.

Tall guy Michael played with us. He was taller than me and was quite good with the ball. We both had similar chances when we tried to score in the empty net from half of the field, but missed the small goal by a few centimeters. He also gave me a good pass before my tying goal to make it 2:2. This was the final score of this game.
