My first football game after almost three weeks. My knee was injured at games on 2024-02-04 and 2024-02-06, so since that time, I have not played football, but I savored it this morning. My enthusiasm, excitement, and performance were up and beyond.

Max did not come; his kids made it to the finals of the tournament. David Hugues, who plays indoors with us, played with the opponent's team. He scored their first goal.

I started as a forward with Mike. Chris played central mid, but he was more like a third forward. In the first minutes, I got a ball on the left side, dribbled it into the front of the box, and shot with the left foot. It went a little bit above the crossbar.

Joel passed me the very long ball. I barely caught it before the line, went over the defender, and with the left foot, I passed in front of the empty net, where Mike scored easily. The second goal was my rebound after Brian's free kick. The goalie was very close, so I had to kick it into the post, and from the post, it went in.

I had plenty of chances the whole first half. I shot three additional shots from behind the box; all went into the middle, so the goalie caught it. One run was from the left side and fired from a sharp angle.

The second half was pretty much the same as the first one. Joel scored an excellent goal from the shot outside the box. Mike did his second of the game. But when it was 3:2, we made an incredible mistake in the defense where Mike (sweeper) and Luis (goalie) did not communicate well, and both left the ball. That was 100% chance, but Luis managed to save it at the very last moment. If that would be 3:3, I am unsure about the game's result.

The list of my chances in the second half is long, too. Two runs from the left side; one finished with the left foot to the near post, and the goalie cached. Next time, in the same situation, I went to the far post, but I was probably aiming too much, so he caught it acrobatically. Vince gave me an excellent long pass in front of the net. I had one job to kick it into the net, and I hit the goalie's leg. No goal.

I wanted to score another one so badly and did whatever it took. Vince gave me another one on the right side I catched it before the line, went tovards the net and shot from the zero angle. This was a very similar situation to the first half. The goalie deflected my shot into the net. He made it up for all those shots and chances he caught :) Right after this, the referee called the end.
